Kidz ’N Grief Toddler Youth Adult

Kidz ’N Grief bereavement program offers grief education and support to children and teens as they cope with the multitude of changes and emotions they experience after the death of a family member or close friend. The program encourages children and teens to ask questions and talk about the person who has died through a range of innovative activities, including games, art, puppets, role-plays, and stories. These activities can help children adjust to the physical loss of their loved one.

A support group program for grieving children and their parents or caregivers.

Littles (3 - 5yr old): use of reflective play, toys, games and art to help children mourn.
Kids (6-8 yr old): use of appropriate games, toys and art to facilitate expression.
Tweens (9-12 yr old): use of activity stations w/ art, games and storytelling.
Teens (13-18 yr old): conversational sharing of feelings and coping strategies.
Adults: four support groups are offered:
- Loss of a spouse
- Loss of a child
- Other Loss
Mikey’s Camp: children 7-17 yr old are paired with a Big Buddy, who provides a unique relationship by companioning the children/teens in the grief process.
